Sculpture ,works on paper, digital prints and sketch books were shown amongst the picture galleries collection which includes nationally important Old Master drawing and Italian painting from the 14th-18th century.
The sculptures in etched steel, coloured fabric and wood were raised on metal mesh columns giving a richly textured resonance to the work that was in keeping with the qualities of the existing collection.
Plant colonization and human intervention are the issues which surface and are exploited in all media.
An extensive display of digital prints collated the research sketches and later studies which allowed visitors to follow the motifs of the sculptures and make links to the origins of the work from a residency at the Oxford University Botanic Garden.
