An exhibition which brings together more than forty years of John Thomson’s studio practice, encompassing drawing and sculpture, as well as imagery created through collaborations with designers, musicians and filmmakers.
It occupies six rooms of Plas Brondanw in North Wales, the former home of Clough Williams-Ellis, architect and creator of Portmeirion, with a further work shown in the Dome at Portmeirion.
The setting is particularly apt; architecture, landscape, artifice and the natural world come into unusually close contact, providing a distinctive context for Thomson’s longstanding interest in the relationship between natural and constructed forms.
